About us – Nzsoccerodds
Soccer odds are numbers that carry a view of probability and a margin, and Nzsoccerodds explains them for readers in New Zealand, where the legal frame is unusual. The site takes no bets, sells no tips and offers no promise of returns; a certain winner does not exist.
Scope of the site
Matches, leagues and prices are discussed, along with the terms used by the provider and the law around them. There are no accounts, no deposits, no paid forecasts and no advice of a legal or tax kind.
Legal status, and how it is looked up
New Zealand holds no register of licensed bookmakers, since a single provider is lawful. TAB NZ alone, through TAB and Betcha, has been permitted to offer racing and sports betting to people in New Zealand from 28 June 2025. For that, the site relies on the Department of Internal Affairs and on the Racing Industry Act 2020 and the Racing Industry Amendment Act 2025. An overseas bookmaker has no licence here; DIA describes an overseas company offering these bets as breaking the law, while the law is pointed at the operator and not the punter. Being listed or ranked is never evidence of a licence.
Handling of sources
The terms, help pages and footers of the provider supply the facts about it, and statutes and public bodies supply the legal ones. Prices and promotions change, so any figure comes with where and when it applied, and a missing source means a description in words, never an invented number.
Readers
The site is for adults in New Zealand, as betting with TAB NZ is open from 18 only. Anyone who finds betting taking more room than planned can contact the Gambling Helpline or Safer Gambling Aotearoa.
